Newsmaker of the Week // Lucas Wolfe

Pennsylvania Speedweek is a regional showcase of 410 Sprint racing that brings together the very best teams from all of area tracks, spiced some invaders.
Individual race wins are important but this mini-series’ championship carries immense prestige.
Lucas Wolfe, past World of Outlaws full timer, was the 2014 Speedweek champion and the adversity he overcame to prevail is incredible.
He handicapped himself by missing one of the races, which he made up for in large measure to his penchant for setting quick time, for which points were awarded.
In the Speedweek finale, Wolfe broke an axle and flipped, came back to set fast time, blew an engine, and still wrangled enough points in the Selinsgrove series- closer to win the title.
Overcoming bad luck takes faith, perseverence and fortitude. It doesn’t often yield victory.
But when it does, it makes news – making Lucas Wolfe AARN’s Newsmaker Of The Week for July 8. 2014.
