Newsmaker of the Week // Danny Creeden

There were two different, high stakes, high profile races two hundred miles apart last week.
One was on dirt, the other on asphalt. One was promoted by an energetic lessor, the other by the second generation track owner.
Both drew big fields, aiming not just for the first prize payoff but for some proportionately good money down the line.
And each race had a winner who ‘worked his tail off’ to earn the top prize.
In Afton N.Y. that man was Danny Creeden, who races on a fairly modest budget and has developed a penchant for winning big money races on small dirt tracks.
In Stafford Springs, Ct. that man was Rowan Pennink, whose driving career has florished over the last couple of years making him a contender in every race he turns a wheel in.
These were physically challenging, mentally draining races. Creeden and Pennink took themselves to the limit.
And they each made big news by winning big.
