Newsmaker of the Week // Otto Sitterly

Oswego Speedway’s Supermodified division is unique in all of auto racing.
The wingless Supers race all year at the historic track in preparation for the Oswego Classic, a race that has withstood the test of time and adds to its legacy annually
This year Otto Sitterly won the race for the fourth time in the past six runnings. On a weekend when new speed reords were set, Sitterly held back, moving into contention as one by one his seeminglly faster competitors stumbled.
It was a brilliant drive, coming in a year when Sitterly’s weekly domination was not what it has been over the past few years.
The Oswego Classic is a difficult race to win. Four wins is even more difficult. Four wins in six years makes news, even for a proven headline-maker like Otto Sitterly, who reigns supreme as Area Auto Racing News’ Newsmaker Of The Week for September 2, 2014.
