IT’S TIME FOR WINTER RACING, and Andy Jankowiak (above left photo, at center, photo by Lee Smith) celebrated by winning the indoor TQ-Midget “Battle of Trenton” feature at N.J.’s Sun National Bank Arena on December 20! Ryan Flores (left) finished second, with Ted Christopher (right) in third; Jankowiak leads a close-running field (center left, photo by Renee Tidaback); During the Friday night event at Trenton (top, photo by Rick Sweeten), “Liquid Lou” Cicconi gets up on two wheels while dueling with Christopher! There was outdoor racing as well, with the Sprint Cars (top, photo by Brent Smith) running at Arizona’s Cocopah Speedway. NASCAR star Kyle Larson (No. 42) returned to his open-cockpit roots to win the feature after this battle with Stevie Smith (No. 51); Riding out a rough one (above, photo by Brent Smith) was Sprint Car legend Steve Kinser, who went over the turn three wall. He was unhurt.
