This Week in AARN // March 3rd, 2015

USAC SPRINTS at East Bay (FL) Raceway Park were highlighted by Robert Ballou’s hard charge to victory Friday night (top, Robert Wing photo) that saw him get his front wheels off the ground on his run to the front. Kody Swanson (No. 63) went airborne over Trevor Kobylarz (No. 14) and authored a one point landing (bottom, left, Matt Butcosk photo) as Logan Jarrett (No. 29) sped away. The action got more intense when both drivers flipped high in the air in tandem (bottom right, Matt Butcosk), heavily damaging both cars but causing neither driver any personal injury. Any encore was negated when the Saturday racing program was rained out, not unlike the weather that has hampered the start of the racing season in the northeast, with events now being postponed well into the month of March.
