The 2015 edition of the USAC Eastern Storm was dominated by one man Robert Ballou.
Always competitive, somewhat underfunded, undeniably talented, Ballou had been his share of races on the USAC Naional Sprint Car circuit.
But nothing like what happened this past week. First, he swept to victory on the oddly shaped four-tenths mile New Egypt Speedway.
Two days later, he conquered the treacherously fast Port Royal Speedway.
Then, on Susquehanna Speedway’s banks, Ballou made it three wins in three starts.
How far Ballou can advance in racing is a matter of conjecture. But he has attracted attention, turned heads, and made the biggest news of this past week by blitzing USAC’s ‘Eastern Storm’.
