To borrow an old racing axiom and improvise a bit, the only thing better than choosing between being lucky or good is to be both lucky AND good.
Stewart Friesen proved it last Tuesday, August 25 in Lebanon Valley Speedway’s Mr. DIRT USA title race when he moved from second to first with two laps left as leader Brettt Hearn ran out of fuel.
Friesen was good enough to keep pace with Lebanon Valley’s mega winner on a track where he had never before won. And he was lucky enough to have enough fuel himself to close the deal.
The difference between second and first place? $11,500!
That’s big money, and by winning it the way Stewart Friesen did is big news for a Newsmaker both lucky and good!
