The Charlotte World Finals provided its share of upset winners over last weekend.
But none was more wholly unexpected than the drive of Tim Kerr, who won the DIRTcar Modified finale over an all star field.
Kerr had won a grand total of one Big Block Modified feature prior to this $8,000 winning ride.
The soft-spoken Canadian was cool, calm and collected after the improbable victory and humbled by the accolades he received from those he had outrun.
It’s not very often that a relative unknown bests the best and even more rare when he does so in a major race. Yet Tim Kerr did it, with style, earning plaudits and treasure – and making big news!
