AREA AUTO RACING NEWS NEWSMAKERS FOR THE  OF DECEMBER 1, 2015 Edition

 Who could have ever imagined that 2015 Super DIRTcar Series champion Matt Sheppard and his car owner Al Heinke could have parted ways less than a month after being lauded for their collective achievements?

 And who could have ever imagined Stewart Friesen and Jimmy Horton racing at Orange County Fair Speedway on Saturday nights, each flying the Halmar International colors?

 These are stunniung events, the kind of news that invites rampant speculation.

 Where’s Sheppard going to be racing next year and for whom?  What’s Al Heinke’s plan – to replace Sheppard or downsize?

 Why would Friesen give up Fonda, his personal playground for the past five years and why would Horton leave the comforts of racing in his home state of New Jersey?
