Gambler’s Classic Goes Tonight; Saturday Heats Help Shape Field; Conover, Krause, Doyle, DeSantis, Glass, Kurtz All Claim Wins

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Sat.) – Two Saturday afternoon TQ Last Chance Races, a pair of Slingshot B-Mains, and a duo of Champ Kart affairs pared the field of drivers for the Saturday night features of the NAPA Know How Weekend inside Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
Slingshot B-Mains were won by Michael Glass and Chris Kurtz with Damon Paul and Demetrious Drellos finishing runners-up to the two event victors.
Champ Kart B-Mains were won by Daniel Doyle, Jr. and A.J. DeSantis, chased by Jeremy Tuttle and Alex Colesanto respectively.
TQ Last Chance events were won by Jack Conover and Andrew Krause. The win for Conover was his second preliminary win of the weekend, having won the Friday TQ Non-Qualifier event.
The Saturday night card will start with six TQ Heat races. The first feature of the weekend, a 24-car, 25-lap feature for the Slingshots, follows.
The TQ Dash, which will determine the starting order for the top nine qualifiers, is next with three final TQ races, B-Mains, taking place following.
A Champ Kart 24-car, 25-lap feature is the second feature of the night. All of the races will serve to intensify the 14th running of the Gambler’s Classic, the climactic event of NAPA Know How Weekend and the second race of the Indoor Race Series Fueled By VP Racing Fuels.
The Series resumes over the weekend of February 26-28 at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, N.J.
