Anthony Sesely is a guy who likes to run the road less traveled when it comes to building race cars and making them go ever faster.
His approach to Indoor racing was to adapt a dirt Micro Sprint chassis to the rigors of indoor racing, all the while competing against a majority of purpose built indoor cars.
Twice before, Sesely had managed to beat the Gambler’s Classic field. But when he was off the pace in 2015, he was more or less overlooked as a potential winner this year.
And that was a big mistake as Sesely once again defied conventional wisdom by holding off the TQ field with his Micro.
The Gambler’s Classic is a high profile race. Sesely is now its only three time winner. And, by winning it his way, again, Anthony Sesely is AARN’s Newsmaker Of The Week.
