For area businessman and Modified Stock Car driver Tyler Siri, the second time was the best.
That’s because Siri thought he had a signed, sealed and delivered deal in hand to buy Black Rock Speedway a few years ago only to have it come unglued at the eleventh hour. Now, he has the proverbial keys in hand, proving that in business, just like in racing, patience is a virtue.
The first thing Siri did was rebrand the track, now known as ‘Outlaw Speedway’. Siri has announced some ambitious plans for the Dundee County, N.Y. oval with the intent on restoring past glory to a neat place.
If anyone can, it’s Siri. who has parlayed patience and a love of racing into race track ownership.
With many tracks said to be in trouble, Siri’s investment in the sport is commendable – and the act of a Newsmaker!
