The racing world awoke Sunday morning shocked and saddened by the news that popular Bryan Clauson has been severely injured in a crash at the Belleville Midget Nationals in Kansas.
Perhaps, many reasoned, he would grit his teeth, pull through, and come back better than ever.
But the Monday morning reports of the death of Bryan Clauson cast a pall over the racing world.
Clauson is gone. Gone but not forgotten, forever be remembered by his ambitious racing schedule, his on-the-gas style, his easy going way with the racing public.
Clauson was leading the Belleville Nationals when he crashed.
In front of the pack, standing on the gas, making news in life – and making news now, in death.
