Jimmy Horton’s Modified win at Orange County Fair Speedway was an occasion positively awash with excitement.
For one thing, Horton hadn’t won a race at Middletown in twenty years.
More importantly, Horton’s personal annual win streak of 44 consecutive years remains intact.
Horton has confided for the past several seasons that he will retire if he goes a whole year without winning a race. Now, he’ll have to wait until at least the end of 2017.
Jimmy Horton one of the all time greats, has emerged anew, making news once again as he has for over four decades.
