Eleven months ago, Matt Sheppard’s future as a top Dirt Modified driver was very much in doubt.
He and the highly touted HBR team had parted ways and Sheppard was adrift.

Since the split, Sheppard went to work with some of his racing friends and built a team from scratch. He won almost immediately and has never stopped.
At Charlotte this past weekend, Sheppard swept both ends of the Super DIRT Series twin bill, breaking a single season series win record, The wins were the 28th and 29th for Sheppard this season, the most he has ever had.
