If Justin Bonsignore’s 2016 season on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour was one to savor, his 2017 racing year was one to forget. In short, he went from being a title contender two years ago to a mid-pack runner at most races last year.
The scrappy Long Islander has come out swinging once again 2018. He finally got his Indoor Auto Racing Series TQ Midget program on track, winning one race and the Series title.
Then on Sunday, in the NASCAR Mod Tour race at Thompson Speedway’s Icebreaker, Bonsignore steered clear of all of the late race dramatics, and won the race.
It was a huge win money-wise but more importantly, Bonsignore sent his competitors a message; he’s going to be tough to beat.
And that’s a message that makes Bonsignore a Newsmaker!
