The first all new track in the northeast hosted its first action this past Sunday night.
Design for Vision/Sunglass Central Speedway, less formally known as Bridgeport Speedway’s 3/8ths, came up a winner in its debut.
Track owner Brian Ramey sought to create a smaller version of the big Bridgeport 5/8ths that has been in place since 1972. And he did just that, sandwiching the track between the outer track and the inner quarter mile, creating a true Motorsports Complex.
It was a gamble, but a gamble that paid off handsomely after just one race.
With so many tracks closing in the northeast, the addition of one more is big news.
Who won the races on opening day doesn’t matter. On this day, it was the track itself that was the Newsmaker!
