When a team sticks it out all year long, every Saturday night, without winning a feature, it says that something is good with team chemistry.
Driver Duane Howard and car owner Norm Hansell, both proven winners, knew that it was just a matter of time before they’d win at their home track, Grandview Speedway. And what a win it turned out to be, coming in the prestigious Freedom 76er, a race Howard had won four times previously.
Car owner Hansell cashed a check for $25,000, Howard basked in the glory of a supreme accomplishment against a fiercely competitive field.
It’s not often that a win drought is broken in the richest race of the year and when it happens, it’s a Newsmaker of an event!
