Larry Wight is the toast of the Dirt Modified world after racing to a spectacular win Sunday in the Super DIRT Week Big Block Modified 200 at Oswego Speedway.
Wight, who cut back his racing schedule this year to concentrate on his business and his family, was fastest when he had to be. He was met by his father John in the winners circle. The elder Wight then joined his son atop the roof of the winning car, reprising a ritual he had shared with another driver, Billy Decker, thirteen years earlier at Syracuse.
Wins in major races never come easily and when they do, they are big news. Larry Wight’s Super DIRT Week victory is thus a newsmaker of an event!
