Superstar Stewart Friesen has done it again. This time, Dirt Modified and NASCAR Truck ace won two of the four big races at the 57th annual Eastern States 200 Weekend in Middletown, NY and came within ten pounds of winning a third.
Friday, he won the Modified Challenge for past Eastern States 200 winners.
Saturday, he finished first in the Small Block 100, driving a car he had never had a lap of practice in, a car he was offered after his intended ride broke in practice. He lost that one when the car came up light at the scales.
On Sunday with the biggest money on the line, Friesen won the Eastern States 200 for the second time in his career, a track that Friesen once struggled mightily with.
Stewart Friesen yet again demonstrated that he is in a class by himself – an extraordinary race car driver – and a Maker of News!
