Newsmaker of the Week // Michael Stefanik

Bittersweet. That was the aura at the NASCAR Hall Of Fame Induction ceremonies last Friday night in Charlotte, NC when Mike Stefanik was inducted posthumously.

Julie Stefanik and her two children were at the induction with Julie reading the tribute to her late husband, winner of nine NASCAR Series championships, seven Modified and two Busch North. Mike Stefanik was a competitor, a man who won often, and who believed in and practiced fair play. He was also a devoted family man and much loved by the racing community.

These were the sentiments expressed so eloquently by Julie in honor of a racer whose career was well-run and a man whose life was well-lived.
