The fastest driver at the East Coast Dirt Nationals from the first lap of practice through the waving of the checkered flag on lap 50 of the A Main was Tim Buckwalter.
Buckwalter thought he may have lost it all when he tangled and spun out 15 laps into the race. He was furious. But he quickly regained his composure and went back to work, slicing through traffic, avoiding a couple of close calls, and was at the head of the pack in just a few laps. A couple of late restarts ratcheted up the tension again, but Buckwalter was not to be denied, picking up the high profile win and $5,000.
