Asphalt Modified driver Ronnie Silk has spent a good many years in the sport, long enough to experience the highs, such as winning a NASCAR Whelen Modified Touring Series title, and the lows, such as losing rides after coming off winning seasons. Since teaming with Tyler Haydt and Joe Yannone and the No. 16, Silk has been riding high.
Stafford Motor Speedway’s prestige race, the Spring Sizzler, was run this past weekend and Silk dominated it, earning himself and the team $35,000. He has also shown in early season races that he and the No. 16 team will be among the favorites for the 2023 NASCAR Whelen Modified Touring Series championship.
For winning the Sizzler, and for demonstrating conclusively that he is part of a winning team, Ronnie Silk is a Newsmaker!
