Newsmaker of the Week // Woody Pitkat

At Stafford Motor Speedway last Friday night, Woody Pitkat raced to victory in the track’s Open Tour Modified 80-lap feature. The win could not have come at a more meaningful time for Pitkat. It was his birthday, and it was also just two days before the one year anniversary of his father’s death.

Woody’s wife and children were at Stafford this night; it was the first time the kids had greeted their father after a race in the winners’ circle.

Pitkat is among Stafford Motor Speedway’s most prolific winners across all of the track’s divisions. He is also among the track’s most spectacular performers; on this night he took center stage as a Newsmaker!
