The stars of NASCAR’s Cup and Xfinity were in town to race at Pocono Raceway this past weekend, and racers that they are, Kyle Busch, Sheldon Creed and Kyle Larson did some dirt racing as well.
Kyle Busch made the A Main at Kutztown’s 600 Speedweek race, transferring into the 26 car A Main – from a field of 114 entries. He followed that up with a second place finish later on that week at Greenwood Valley.
That same night, Brexton Busch. Kyle’s son, won the Junior Sprint class.
Xfinity driver Sheldon Creed led 24 laps of the 600 Speedweek A Main at Airport Speedway, before settling for second.
Kyle Larson won the 410 Sprint race at Lernerville Speedway and planned to race the World Of Outlaws race at BAPS until rain intervened.
It wasn’t too long ago that NASCAR’s upper echelon drivers wouldn’t consider racing anything else. Today, they do, racing benefits, and as a group, NASCAR drivers last week were Newsmakers both at Pocono Raceway and with race fans at large.
