The world of Super Late Model racing has any number of high paying races. But the one race everybody covets is the Eldora World 100.
It is a race with a long and storied history. This year’s race winner was second generation ace Hudson O’Neal, who had never won it before. His father, Don O’Neal, had tried for years to win it and always came up short.
Rocket Chassis owner Mark Richards, whose iconic No. 1 cars have won just about every big Late Model race many times, had never won as a car owner – in half a century of trying.
There they were – three men united in victory for the first time in the World 100. The race paid $53,000 to win, but that was secondary to the O’Neals and Mark Richards – they made News!
