Newsmaker of the Week // Ray Evernham

At last weekend’s PPB Motorsports Show, Ray Evernham was the star. The Show formally recognized Ray Evernham’s longevity – 50 years in motorsports – a milestone few reach.

Ray signed autographs with Bill Elliott and with his wife Erin Crocker. He reminisced on stage about his roots as a Stock Car driver in his native New Jersey. He talked about his introduction into NASCAR Cup racing, and his incredible trajectory into a Hall Of Fame crew chief, and, subsequently, as a team owner.

He was genuinely happy to reconnect with his fans, and the racing public was happy to see him, to shake his hand, to congratulate him on his success. It was a weekend of special moments for an amazing man, bringing back into focus the achievements of a life well lived through motorsports.

Most of all, Ray Evernham, once again, became a Newsmaker!
