As the NASCAR Modified Tour kicked off its 2025 campaign this past Saturday night at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida, Patrick Emerling was forced to start at the tail of the field after his motor developed a skip in qualifying.
Not worried one bit, through pit strategy and a fast race car, Emerling and his Rich Gautreau owned No. 1 team shot through the field to take the win in a race that was extended to 205 laps due to late race caution flags.
Emerling and his team were rewarded with $16,000-plus for their big win – thus, making news!
