Newsmaker of the Week // Matt Sheppard

After what had been, by his standards, a subpar 2025 racing season, Matt Sheppard, kicked it into to high gear over the past week. In rapid fire order, Sheppard won at Thunder Mountain, picked up a Short Track Super Series last lap thriller at Kutztown’s Action Track on May 27, then took Central New York by storm with consecutive victories at Utica-Rome and Land Of Legends. It all added up to four wins at four different tracks in six days, a stunning pace.

After so many years of winning dozens of features and winning at least two track titles every year, Matt Sheppard is back on form – good news for him, but bad news for his fellow racers. As he has done so many times before in his career, Matt Sheppard is once again a Newsmaker!
