Newsmaker of the Week // Max Zachem

Well-liked New England Asphalt Modified driver Max Zachem drove the race of his life in a ride he described as ‘the car of a lifetime’ to win the 112-lap Stafford SK 5k Modified race Friday night at CT’s Stafford Motor Speedway.

The winning car is owned by Ryan and John Morgan, long time family friends.

Zachem saved his tires and had plenty in reserve in the run to the checkered flag. The $8,000 plus payday was the most he ever earned in a single race. After a modest celebration, Zachem and his family headed to NH’s Star Speedway where he backed up the Stafford success with a hard earned fifth place finish in the family Tour Type Modified in the Tri Track Series race there. Collectively, it was a weekend to remember for Zachem and his family, one to savor and remember.

For winning Stafford Motor Speedway’s longest and richest SK Modified race, against rugged competition, Max Zachem is a Newsmaker!
