The world of auto racing is mourning the death of Sprint Car Hall Of Fame driver and team owner Bobby Allen, who passed away Sunday at the age 81.
The death of the much loved and widely respected racer was particularly sobering because Allen had been at Williams Grove’s National Open just a day before his untimely passing.
Hall Of Famer Allen made his career as a driver-owner that carried him from winners circles in Central PA to the midwest, to victory in the Knoxville Nationals, and next then onto his kin.
Few have ever made the impact on Sprint Car racing as did ‘Scruffy’, who for the final time in his glorious career, is a Newsmaker!
