David Gravel came into last weekend’s World Of Outlaws Sprint Car three-race weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina seeking to affirm his second straight Series championship.

And that’s exactly what he did, winning one of the three races, and clinching the title a race early. Gravel and his car owner Tod Quiring’s team seemed invincible at times during the season.

The reward for a season of work for himself and car owner Tod Quiring that began in February, ended in November and crisscrossed the nation? A hefty $200,000 in cash plus bonuses.
