Newsmaker of the Week // Matt Swanson

When Matt Swanson took the checkered flag last Saturday night to win the Ironton Global Indoor Auto Racing Series TQ Midget feature race inside the PPL Center in downtown Allentown, it was his first such win. That was celebratory in and of itself, but Swanson’s winning ride was owned by Ken Sebring and built by the late Jeff Ulrich, who lost his life in a pedestrian tragedy just short of one year ago.

Swanson and Sebring were both thrilled with the victory yet reflective of the tragedy that claimed the life of the innovative car builder and their friend.
