Newsmaker of the Week // Jon McKennedy

After winning the NASCAR Modified Tour championship in 2022, Jon McKennedy had not been able to taste victory lane running select events with the series.

Now back on the Tour full-time, McKennedy is showing that he’s a force to be reckon with once again as after winning at Mass’ Seekonk Speedway three weeks ago, McKennedy backed that up with a victory at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway last Saturday in the tour’s first trip to the 3/8-mile facility in more than three decades. While the tour hadn’t been there in a while, McKennedy has plenty of experience and used that to his advantage on his way to a dominating win.

McKennedy propelled himself to third in the championship standings only nine points out of the lead. Jon McKennedy is simply red-hot right now, which makes him a Newsmaker!
