After three days of fighting thunderstorms in the Western PA area, those attending the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series’ Firecracker weekend at Lernerville Speedway were treated to an epic late-race showdown in Saturday’s 100-lap finale between two division heavyweights, Devin Moran and Brandon Sheppard.
Sheppard led the first 79 laps before Moran passed him on lap 80. However, things didn’t end there as the duo swapped the lead on laps 91 and 92, with Moran eventually hanging on for the 30th Lucas win of his career and the $50,000 check.
Winning a marquee race for the first time in his career makes Devin Moran a Newsmaker!
