The dirt racing community is in mourning after Grandview Speedway track owner Theresa Rogers passed away last Friday after having been hospitalized for an extended period of time.

Theresa and her late husband Bruce Rogers and Bruce’s father Forrest created in the speedway in 1963. When Bruce passed away, Theresa, known for her plainspoken way and accessibility on race nights, continued to handle the speedway business until the day she passed.

Grandview has made headlines countless times under Theresa Rogers’ watch. Now, in death, she is a newsmaker one last time.
