Newsmaker of the Week // James McFadden

Chants of “PA Aussie!” “PA Aussie!” “PA Aussie!” pierced through PA’s Port Royal Speedway last Saturday night after James McFadden, subbing for the injured Anthony Macri, parked the Macri Motorsports No. 39M in victory lane as a Tuscarora 50 winner.

The win was a story of grit and determination as McFadden’s night the previous two days ended with him staring at the ground with pieces hanging off the car. However, he, crew chief Joe Mooney and the rest of the team never quit; ordering new shocks and wings at the 11th hour to assemble the machine he would storm from 11th to first with.

It’s been well documented that McFadden had been runner-up multiple times throughout his career in crown jewel events. But now he crossed that list off in a Central PA car, which makes James McFadden a Newsmaker!
