Stewart Friesen, by his talent and gregarious nature, is a newsmaker. He has done things on the race track over the past several years that define the term ‘living legend.’

The standard, therefore, for a habitual newsmaker to make news is one with a high threshold.

Here’s what Stewy did last week: on Tuesday, he won the World Of Outlaws race in his native Canada, passing Donny Schatz, driving his wife Jessica’s car. The next night, he won the Jack Johnson Tribute Race in a Modified against an All Star field. Then he came back to Fonda Saturday night and won his tenth race of the season.

Two completely different disciplines, three races, three convincing victories. Even for Stewart Friesen, this was a Newsmaker of a week.
