Hogue Moving On To New Horizons; Area Auto Racing News Accepting Resumes

Tim Hogue, Advertising Sales Director for Area Auto Racing News, has announced he is leaving the position he’s held for seven years.

Hogue recently gave his two weeks notice to AARN to pursue an exciting employment opportunity outside of the sport.

“We’re all going to miss Tim,” said AARN president Len H. Sammons, “but at the same time we’re happy for him. He’s always had a passion for not only racing, but working for AARN full-time. I know it was a hard decision for him to move on, but it’s too good of an opportunity for him to turn down as well.”

During his tenure with AARN, Hogue also acted as the Exhibit Booth Sales Manager for the annual Motorsports show presented by Len Sammons Productions. He’s also played a part in the annual Indoor Auto Racing Series events promoted by LSP, most recently as event pit steward. While he’ll no longer be working in advance on these events, Hogue does plan on being involved at them as he has in the past.

Hogue, like his father Fran Hogue before him, has been a successful race car driver spending most of his career competing with URC’s 360 Sprint Car series. He stepped out of the driver’s seat last year, but continued to field a car at selected events. He’ll continue to do so this year, with Nate Snyder of Halifax, Pa., driving the Hogue No. 39. Hogue also plans to follow the annual USAC Eastern Storm for wingless Sprint Cars with California driver Richard Vander Weerd as his driver.

AARN is currently accepting resumes for those interested in the job opportunity at lhs@aarn.com.

AARN Advertising Director and Motorsports Show Director Danny Sammons will be handling Hogue’s former responsibilities until a replacement has been found. Danny is available Monday – Friday during regular working hours at the office, (609)-888-3618 or by email at danny@aarn.com.
